QoS Labs has dedicated
a vast amount of its resources to R&D at its lab in Florida, especially
focusing on service- and knowledge-oriented technologies applied to complex
problems that are common to find in the market.
All SaaS solutions
developed by QoS Labs in the past were intended to support critical service
functionalities by developing proprietary technology and reusing enabling
components tested at its lab sometimes in conjunction with
technology partners. As the lab
advanced in the use of knowledge representation technologies, use cases aimed
at expediting integration by enabling the knowledge domain expert to model
app functionalities via QoS Labs’ proprietary tools.
A few representative
use cases packaged as turnkey SaaS bundled solutions that reflect the
evolution of the QoS Labs’ technology are:
- ASP platform
(Application Service Provider)
- Intranet/Extranet
Portal
- Semantic Web Page
- ELCM (Employee Life
Cycle Management)
- SarbOx
Accelerator
- SLCM (SaaS Service Life Cycle Management)
- Social
networking platform
- State
2.0
Use cases have provided
the company with valuable experiences applied to commercial implementations and
the development of its semantic technology. All use cases developed
in the last six years have used knowledge representation technologies and encouraged
further development of the SaaS framework that started with the original
ASP project back in 1999. QoS Labs’ use cases expose critical
functionalities to the Web as services and populates instances of the model
with actual structured and unstructured information sources.
