Semantic App Lab

 

Development of proprietary semantic engine, SOA ontology and enterprise ontology to create turnkey SaaS solutions that facilitate integration and management of critical enterprise services.

 

- Study of latest semantic network standards and interoperability options.

- Continue development of proprietary semantic engine based on international standards.

- Continue design of Enterprise ontology, extending business reporting and process controlled vocabularies, generating metadata, and associating key concepts to the QoS Labs SOA framework ontology.

- Extend the SOA framework to support IT Governance and quality including international best practices like ITIL, COBiT, ISO 9000, TQM, Six Sigma, CMMI, etc.

- Implement large-scale semantic portal use cases integrated with heterogeneous IT environments.

- Integrate advanced content management capabilities with the semantic engine based on JSR-170 standards.

- Implement Dublin Core controlled vocabularies capabilities in the semantic engine.

- Design the Employee Life Cycle Management and SarbOx Governance turnkey solution use cases, integrating the semantic engine and multiple enabling components (e.g., Portal, Identity Management and Auditing , ESB, Content Manger, etc.)

- Plan the IT Management turnkey solution use case to integrate the semantic engine with management components used in previous labs (e.g., CIM manager, fault correlation, SLA manager, etc.)

- Launch pilot deployments applied to financial services, service providers, health care and Government.

- Design semantic desktop using AJAX.

- Study of Web 2.0 software components (i.e., blog, discussion forum, wiki, content syndication and folksonomy).

- Adopt SCRUM as part of the software development methodology.

- Create of a new development wiki for collaborative code documentation and bug tracking.

- Deploy tools for software project management, build automation and version control.
