Application Carrier Support System Lab

 

Fault, Configuration, Accounting, Performance and Security management applied to software applications rendered as services over the network.

 

- Design the service-oriented reference framework (1st generation).

- Design an ASP model to map application services to the reference framework (developed in DBMS).

- Develop application service management, provisioning, support and billing processes.

- Develop Intranet/Extranet ASP portal with document management & personalization capabilities based on profiles (1st generation SaaS portal).

- Integrate CRM and document management as the first SaaS apps.

- Develop VPN project in alliance with Cisco Systems to support SaaS apps.

- Develop IT infrastructure project in alliance with Sun Microsystems to support configuration and delivery of SaaS apps.

- Implement QoS management applied to SaaS apps delivery on carrier-class broadband lab network and enterprise-class servers.

- Implement network security applied to SaaS apps on carrier-class broadband lab network and Unix/Linux/Microsoft servers.

- Implement LDAP directory and user access security at network, server and software application levels.

- Study of the FCAPS and TMF telecommunications management models.

- Development of the first Java libraries for application service management.

- Development of a configuration matrix application to support SaaS provisioning.

- Implementation of QoS Labs’ SaaS management platform (SaaS management portal 1st generation).

- Study of IP accounting standards, algorithms and commercial technologies applied to service management and billing.

- First use cases applied to e-tradeshow, education and retail.
