QoS Labs, a leading
company in solutions and services based on standards and best practices
related with Service-Oriented Architectures (SOAs), is happy to announce
its membership to Object Management Group (OMG). Business Process
Management Initiative (BPMI) and Object Management Group (OMG) announced
the merger of their Business Process Management (BPM) activities to the
public on June 29th, 2005. QoS Labs was already a member of BPMI since April
of this year.
OMG is an international
open membership organization, not-for-profit consortium leader in producing
and maintaining computer industry specifications for interoperable
applications. QoS Labs is proud to
announce our newest membership with this well-known organization, as is
Object Management Group.
OMG’s most important
specifications include a multi-platform Model Driven Architecture
(MDA). This platform is based on
modeling specifications such as: Unified Modeling Language (UML), Common Object
Request Broker Architecture (CORBA), Object Management Architecture (OMA),
Domain Specifications, OMG’s specification process, and everything else
OMG.
OMG will continue
implementing BPMI’s Business Process Management activities, focusing on
standards development to support the entire life-cycle of business process
management – from process design, through deployment, execution,
maintenance, and optimisation.
Additionally OMG will maintain BPMI’s Initiative objective, which is
to promote and develop open, complete and royalty free XML-based standards
that support and enable Business Process Management (BPM) in industry.
OMG will be hosting an
OMG Technical kick-off event in at Atlanta,
Georgia on
September 12th through the 16th, to introduce the organization to all its
new members. The purpose of this
event is to involve new and current members in decisions guiding the course
OMG, where all its members can participate in the Task Force, make their
voice heard and vote on the development of important IT issues.
